Unlike most of the kids in Bonesteel, Delaney is happy just where she is. She wants nothing more out of her life other than for it to be happy and long. Delaney’s father died only a year back. He saw a deer and swerved out of the way, but anyone knows not to be too trusting of the dirt on the roads because he skid a bit too far and slammed right into a tree. The impact pushed the motor right into the dashboard and he was stuck. All she remembers is sitting there in the hospital, holding his hand as they took him off life support. From that day on, Delaney knew that if she couldn’t save other people, she could sure as hell save herself. She shaped herself up to be a next to perfect young lady. A straight A student, a gifted performer, popular, perky, pretty, everything a living father could ever want. Maybe even everything a dead father could want as well.
